Where do I park?

There is a small free lot labeled Liberty Parking as well as a large pay lot across the street. 
 

​​What is the turnaround time for alterations?

​Normal turnaround time is 2 weeks from the time of fitting. ​

​* Prom, Bridesmaid, and special occasion dresses may require additional time during peak season. (March-June) Call, email or check website for notice of longer turnaround times.

Wedding gowns turnaround time normally is 4-12 weeks from the time of the first fitting. (typically wedding gowns require 2-5 fittings) Although, gowns can be held longer if you want to schedule your first fitting further in advance of your special day. Please reach out to 3-12 months prior to your wedding to be sure you can reserve an appointment. ​

* Clients who are pregnant, have given birth, or for any reason expect to gain/lose significant weight, please plan to have a fitting 2-3 weeks prior to the event date.

What if I need my garments in a rush?

Expedited services can be provided depending on availability. 
Typically rush fees are:
Additional 15% for faster than 2 weeks 
Additional 25% for faster than 1 week

*Pricing for such rush services on formal and wedding gowns will be based on the difficulty of the project and the proposed timeline. Additional rush fees apply if we are overbooked during peak season. All such fees shall be agreed upon by both Miss Mary Stitches LLC and the client before work commences.

What should I wear and/or bring to a fitting?

The garment you want altered or repaired and the following items, if they apply:
* The shoes you will be wearing. (this applies to long dresses/gowns and pants) 
* Any undergarments you will be wearing, especially if it affects the shape of your garment. Bra, shaper spanx, etc. (this applies to most to formal wear)  

What if I don't have the exact shoes?
If you do not have the shoes at the time of your fitting but you have a shoe that is similar in heel height, please bring those. For full length formal and briadal gowns it is recommended to have an additional fitting to double check the length once you have the correct shoes. For pants or full length dresses that you want to wear with multiple heel heights it is recommended to hem to the lowest heel to prevent the garment dragging on the ground.

Do I need to wear a bra with my dress?
Not at all. Many gowns are created to be worn without a bra once they are properly fit. For clothing that has a low back or no back design, we can often add additional sew-in cups if needed.

Can I bring guests to my fittings?

Yes. However, we are a small shop and anymore than 2- 3 additional guests can make the setting feel a little cramped and less intimate.

Cleaning Considerations

Please have any garments that were previously worn cleaned before brining them to be altered. Especially if they are pants. Miss Mary Stitches reserves the right to reject to work on dirty garments.
